BFS Awards Showcase - Continued
As you can see the feeding freenzy has begun, Stuart Young contemplates the free 'goodies' whilst we catch up with Chris Fowler. Chris it seems shares my 'trainer fetish' and tells a group of us about a friend of his that customises Converse - he had a pair of red Converse trainers complete with sparkly toes! A personal highlight of the day was that he'd noticed my 'creeper' style trainers from Osiris.
Enough about shoes, as the afternoon dwindles new faces arrive and join in with the meriment at hand. Everyone is in high spirits and seemed to be enjoying the event, a fact that is now reflected on the BFS forum, which you can visit by following this handy link www.britishfantasysociety.org
Brain Aldiss dropped by for a drink, with a copy of his novel HARM which is on the long list for Best Novel this year. We had a great chat about Brothers of the Head, a favourite of mine in both the novel and cinematic versions. Brian also talked about AI and the infamous 'Blue Fairy' sequence.
Helen and I were both surprised to see another late arrival in the form of filmmaker and writer Frazer Lee, who we had not seen since Dead by Dawn in 2005! The big shock from Frazer, he'd gone and got himself hitched. So belated congratulations are in order.

So a great day was had by all, to whom we thank for their attendance and to those who sadly could not be with us, thanks for the donations it was appreciated by all in attendance. Apologies to John (fans rock), Dave from All Things Horror and everyone else who we spoke to on the day if I failed to mention you. Roll on FantasyCon 2008!
