A WARNING TO THE CURIOUS
Forgive us dear reader for our misleading headline. We who dwell within the dungeon have not resurrected the great M.R. James as a surprise guest for FantasyCon 2008, we simply wanted to peform an act of public kindness by bringing you the following dire warnings...
This kind and honest looking gentleman travels under the alias of John Llewellyn Probert, and it has come to our attention that he will be moderating a panel on the works of William Hope Hodgson at the aforementioned convention.
This panel is due to take place on Friday 19th September from 10pm - 10:45pm in the Gallery Suite.
Recently the following information was released to the public...
'Ash-Tree Press is proud to present award-winning author John Llewellyn Probert’s ‘Coffin Nails’ - eighteen tales designed to make you gasp with horror and shudder with delight with a volume so gripping that as you read it you may well fail to notice the twisted, taloned creature that escaped when you opened the cover creeping up behind you to do its dreadful work. Once you’ve satisfied yourself that there’s nothing there please feel free to read the rest of the book, but remember- we never said it was visible.'

This press release whilst informative failed to convey the mind bending truth of the situation. So heed this our warning to you all and approach Mr. Probert with caution...
...we have it on good authority that he'll be selling copies unofficially out of his briefcase and if the pages of Coffin Nails (picture supplied for your own protection) hide a twisted, taloned creature, you have to ask yourself what horrors lie in the gloomy depths of his luggage!
To protect yourself further from this insidious evil, simply remember the following, this author has described himself as a 'cross between Roald Dahl & Sir Donald Wolfit'.
This alone should be enough to warn you, please read on if you dare.
For those with hearty constitutions and stronger stomachs, through the power of modern technology, we captured the author at a recent SF conference in Wales. So without further ado here is the final Coffin Nails 'trailer' featuring the one and only John Llewellyn Probert...
