SUPERNATURAL SHENANIGANS - At the British Fantasy Society's Xmas Open Night!

Here we see author Rio Youers being taken over by an unknown force... before you scream 'it's the beer', notice how full the pint glass is.
If you've been to a BFS event then you'll know for certain this in itself presents ample grounds to back up my claims!
Eagle-eyed readers will also notice the strange ephemeral glow that almost bisects Rio's head. The phenomenon was last witnessed by myself when the anti-christ was born in London a few decades ago.
Coincidentally the location of this very event!

...someone once said 'the eyes are the windows to the soul', hang on my swiss cheese memory seems to recall it was Louis Cypher...
...with a 'hand on his blackest heart' Rio glares at World Fantasy Award winner Pete Crowther, who turns his head away from all the horror!
Here we see Peter starting to fade from reality itself.

Does this only happen to people when they win 'X' amount of awards?
Why does it only seem to affect Peter, when I appear to have only been marred by a blissful grin?
Answers on a postcard to...

...and yet Peter seems to be fading before our very eyes!
What in the name of Hades is loose in Ye Olde Cock?
The same abnormal occurrence seems to also happen to Les Edwards or is that Edward Miller, it's hard to tell when the laws of physics don't seem to apply anymore!

One thing is clear, whatever force is present it maybe viral, it seems to be affecting Stephen also...
...and it appears that he's passed it onto author Sarah Pinborough!
It may be passed via the eyes also, Charles does appear to be in some discomfort!

...what does this tell us?
Is she somehow involved in this outbreak?

It would seem that Sarah was definitely under the influence of forces unknown when she handed Les his award...
...if only I had packed my sunglasses, I may have been protected from succumbing to this strange fate that has befallen so many attendees so far!
And yet Val, and Mandy etc, seem unaffected and quite jovial about these strange goings on at this years Xmas Open Night...
