BFS Xmas Open Night
Scheduled for 3rd December 2010 the British Fantasy Society Christmas Open Night is in need of a venue. Sadly we are unable to hold this at The George due to a regular comedy club slot. I'm looking for a venue that is central to the city of London that can offer a private function room capable of holding at least 100 people (100-150 would be ideal).
We are an organisation run by volunteers and cannot cover room hire costs, but can pretty much guarantee plenty of bar sales!
The Open Afternoon held at The George on Saturday 31st July looked to be quite successful considering the change of times and dates etc. Many thanks to Lauren Beukes, The Angry Robot team and everyone who managed to make it to the event. If anyone posts articles or pictures from the day please get in touch so I can publicise links etc.
The George can still be used for events on Saturday afternoons. If you wish to promote a book release or have an idea for a similar event, contact me via this blog or email etc.
